Gold Tide Forsythia is a dwarf, deciduous shrub that gleams with golden yellow flowers in the early spring. Grow a few as foundation plants, or en masse on a slope or natural area for a more dramatic effect.

Your Gold Tide Forsythia bursts into spring with a "gold tide" of yellow brilliance so early in the season that its foliage still hasn't appeared. The diminutive, bell-shaped flowers create quite a show as they appear in abundance amid the bare branches. Ovate, green leaves will soon fill out your Gold Tide for summer, so it presents a pleasing appearance throughout the season.

With its compact, spreading shape, your Gold Tide Forsythia typically grows low to the ground but spreads to an attractive, mounded form. Beautiful if left to grow naturally, but is easy to prune if you prefer to take a hand in its shaping.

Its best flower production is in full sun, but it will tolerant other conditions and a variety of soils. There aren't any disease or insect issues to be concerned with, and deer tend to leave it alone.

If you're looking for a hardy, little shrub that will make a dramatic spring impression, Gold Tide Forsythia is one that is perfect for the job.
