Sciadopitys verticillata 'Wintergreen' is a slow-growing pyramidal tree form of Japanese Umbrella pine with long, dark-green needles which do not turn bronze in the winter. Typical rate of growth in most areas is around 7.5 inches (20 cm) per year, resulting in a small dense tree, 6 feet (2 m) tall by 4 feet (1.3 m) wide after 10 years in the landscape.
