In this role, you will handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our facilities and equipment in excellent condition. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has a range of skills, and thrives in a dynamic, outdoor-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Maintenance: Perform routine repairs and maintenance on buildings, greenhouses, and outdoor structures, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Equipment Repairs: Assist with minor fixes and upkeep of tools, small engines, and other equipment used in the garden center and landscaping operations.
• Irrigation System Maintenance: Inspect and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning and efficient watering.
• General Repairs: Address tasks such as painting, patching walls, replacing fixtures, and assembling furniture or shelving as needed.
• Grounds Maintenance: Perform small-scale landscaping tasks, such as repairing walkways, fences, or outdoor seating areas, and clearing debris.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct routine checks of facilities and equipment to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
• Cleaning and Organizing: Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and supplies are properly stored and accessible.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in general handyman work or a related field.
• Strong skills in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, work outdoors, and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Flexibility to work part-time hours, including occasional weekends if needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of greenhouse or landscaping operations is a plus.
