The Honeycrisp Apple is a mid-season blooming apple for commercial or home orchard use. Its explosive crispness, outstanding flavor, and a storage life of up to seven months make this one a true winner. It's a cross between Macoun and Honeygold. The University of Minnesota introduced this beauty in 1991. The semi-dwarf size is around 12-15' tall x 12-15' wide. A semi-dwarf apple tree will produce 5-10 bushels in annually. When growing, remove the leader and train the more horizontal branches to increase sunlight and air circulation to benefit the best fruit production.
