Ornamental Features
Hino Pink Azalea is covered in stunning clusters of lightly-scented pink trumpet-shaped flowers with red throats and a red blotch at the ends of the branches in mid spring. It has green foliage which emerges light green in spring. The small glossy narrow leaves turn an outstanding coppery-bronze in the fall. The fruit is not ornamentally significant.

Hino Pink Azalea is a dense multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage.
This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. It has no significant negative characteristics.
