Leave it to the renowned rose breeder, Christian Bédard, to introduce such an unprecedented beauty like Ketchup and Mustard Floribunda. The buds open with a flourish, swirling out into formal, elegant blooms, each petal painted in dramatic gold tones on the reverse. The mesmerizing bicolor holds fast and strong all the way until the flower drops. As this is a floribunda, you can expect tons of these exquisite blooms through many productive summers, which makes Ketchup and Mustard a dependable, long-lasting focal point. This rose stays tidy and rounded at 2-4', and because it's so compact, you're not limited by a need for tons of space. It'll stay low enough for short hedges, small corners, container gardening... just imagine these surprising blooms in a decorative pot by the front door, setting your house apart all summer long.
Dig a hole large enough to easily accommodate root structure. Place a small 'hill' of soil at the bottom of the hole. Place the plant at the proper height in the hole, and fill two-thirds full with soil. Using a gentle stream of water, fill the remainder of the hole.
On established plants removing spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun.
Roses prefer a thorough watering but do not like 'wet feet'. Water early in the day to avoid wet conditions into the night which can cause issues with fungus and disease.
Winter Care: Mulch heavily around the base of the plant. Remove promptly in early spring.
