Molten Lava Flowering Crab is bathed in stunning clusters of fragrant white flowers along the branches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive cherry red flower buds before the leaves. The fruits are showy tomato-orange pomes carried in abundance from early fall to late winter. It has dark green foliage throughout the season. The pointy leaves turn yellow in fall. The rough khaki (brownish-green) bark adds an interesting dimension to the landscape.
