Description

This stunning Lily of the Nile produces large, ball-shaped clusters of trumpet-like flowers in soft blue-violet with darker stripes, carried on sturdy 18–24" stems above deep green, strap-like foliage. Unlike many perennials, ‘Poppin’ Star’ doesn’t just bloom once and stop—it’s an excellent repeat bloomer, rewarding you with flowers from late spring into fall on mature clumps. Pollinator-friendly and low maintenance, this easy-to-grow perennial thrives in full to part sun with well-drained soil. It’s heat tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, and makes a spectacular focal point in borders, mass plantings, or large patio containers. In cooler regions (zones 8 and colder), plants should be winter protected or overwintered indoors if grown in pots.
